Terms and Conditions — Day Trips Tangier

1. About These Terms

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of services provided by Day Trips Tangier (hereinafter “we”, “us”, or “our”), a tour operator based in Tangier, Morocco. By booking a tour with us — via email, phone, WhatsApp, or our partners — you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms. Please read them carefully.

2. Booking & Confirmation

• All bookings require a 30% non-refundable deposit to secure your reservation. The remaining balance is due on the day of the tour, in cash (MAD, EUR, USD) or via secure bank transfer (prior arrangement required).
• Bookings are confirmed via email or WhatsApp within 24 hours of deposit receipt. If you do not receive confirmation, please contact us immediately at contact@daytripstangier.com.
• We reserve the right to decline a booking at our sole discretion (e.g., safety, capacity, or compliance concerns).

3. Cancellation & Refund Policy

• More than 7 days before tour: Full refund minus 20% deposit.
• 3–7 days before tour: 50% refund of total tour price.
• Less than 72 hours before tour: No refund.
• Force Majeure (e.g., severe weather, strikes, border closures, ferry cancellations): We will offer a full rescheduling or 100% credit toward a future tour. No cash refunds.
• Note: “Day of tour” cancellations due to guest no-show or late arrival (beyond agreed pickup time + 15 mins) are non-refundable.

4. Pricing & Inclusions

• All prices are quoted in Moroccan Dirhams (MAD), unless otherwise specified. Final pricing is confirmed at time of booking.
• What’s included (e.g., transport, guide, water) varies by tour — always refer to your confirmation email. Entrance fees, meals, and tips are typically not included, unless stated.
• We reserve the right to adjust pricing due to fuel surcharges, regulatory changes, or significant currency fluctuations — with 7 days’ notice.

5. Guest Responsibilities

• Arrive on time at the agreed pickup location. Delays may result in shortened tour duration — no refunds issued.
• Wear appropriate clothing and footwear — especially for medinas (cobblestones), mountains (Chefchaouen), or desert excursions.
• Respect local customs: dress modestly in religious or residential areas; ask permission before photographing people.
• Disclose any mobility limitations, medical conditions, or special needs at time of booking. Some tours (e.g., Tetouan Medina) are not suitable for guests with limited mobility — see individual tour pages.

6. Our Commitment to You

• All vehicles are licensed, insured, and maintained to Moroccan transport standards.
• Drivers and guides are professionally licensed, multilingual, and trained in first aid and cultural sensitivity.
• We prioritize sustainable tourism: supporting local artisans, minimizing waste, and respecting heritage sites.

7. Limitation of Liability

• Day Trips Tangier is not liable for:
  • Delays or disruptions caused by third parties (ferries, airlines, border control, weather).
  • Loss or damage to personal belongings (we recommend travel insurance).
  • Injuries resulting from guest negligence, failure to follow guide instructions, or participation in optional activities (e.g., camel rides) at own risk.
• Our maximum liability for any claim arising from a tour is limited to the total amount paid for that tour.

8. Privacy & Data Use

We collect only essential information (name, contact, pickup details) to deliver your tour. We do not sell or share your data with third parties. Photos taken during tours may be used for promotional purposes — you may opt out at any time by notifying your guide.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Morocco. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Tangier.
