Day Trip: Tangier → Chefchaouen → Tetouan → Tangier

Morning pickup from your Tangier hotel. Set off into the Rif Mountains (~2 hours), with a relaxing stop for mint tea or coffee and sweeping mountain vistas.

Arrive in Chefchaouen — the legendary “Blue Pearl.” Join your local guide for a walking tour through the medina’s cobalt-blue streets, learning about its 15th-century founding, Jewish and Andalusian influences, and the symbolism behind the iconic blue wash. Visit key landmarks including the Kasbah Museum and the historic Jewish Cemetery.

Enjoy free time for lunch at a local restaurant (try goat cheese, tagine, or fresh orange juice) and independent exploration.

In the afternoon, drive to Tetouan (~1 hour). Explore at your own pace: stroll the UNESCO-listed medina’s whitewashed lanes, admire Andalusian tilework and carved wood, browse artisan workshops, and soak in the city’s tranquil, artistic atmosphere.

Return to Tangier in the early evening with drop-off at your hotel.
